As a student at one of the most prestigious universities in the United Kingdom whose origins lies in one of the most deprived areas of the capital, my experience and skills are all underlined by the ability to be exceedingly resourceful. My skill set is one that hasn't been developed by an exceeding amount of experience in any one industry, but instead an amalgamation of areas of expertise that are the result of not having an established network of connections. During my time as a Politics and Sociology student, I have been expected to thoroughly research information surrounding a multitude of topics, analyse said information and comb through to find what I can use, plan the project, and write my essay/report/proposal in a way that is articulate to the point where someone that knows nothing about politics could understand, as well as it being technical and nuanced enough for it to be an acceptable piece of work by the standards of those who assess my work, which I have done time and again. Additionally, throughout my experience outside of university such as in the workplace, I have developed exceptional oratory skills as well as a knack for leadership as the result of having to lead many tasks in the absence of the usual leadership roles. I think the combination of my written skills as well as my oratory skill and adaptability with many different personality types means that I would be able to contribute in a unique manner to any company that employs me.
