I am responsible for the identification of potential funding sources and work with our staff on grant proposal preparation and submission. When we are successful I manage the donor relationship and reporting.

Durrell Conservation Academy

I coordinated and lead the international conservation training programmes of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. This included course development, meeting university validation requirements, lecturing and staff development.

International Training Centre, Jersey

Managed the smooth running of the ITC in collaboration with the Head of Department. Organised timetables and coordinated with lecturers, tutors and participants to ensure that courses were as effective as possible. Lectured on various topics on courses including in-situ and ex-situ components of species conservation and I acted as an external examiner for the Diploma in Endangered Species Management which is ratified through the University of Kent. I was also a key participant in developed of courses run overseas.

Durrell Wildlife Park

I worked with a broad range of exotic and endangered species and was responsible for their daily care. Most of my time was spent working with the orangutans and gorillas. Working with participants on our endangered species managements conservation courses and training them in animal management was an important part of this role.
