MSci Physics at 2:1 level obtained

-In charge of the operation and general management of Imperial College London's Fine Art Society: 'Leonardo FIne Arts Society'-Responsible for organisation of a team of nine committee members-Maintained the production of weekly art tutorials for members with professional tutors and models-Responsible for the organisation and production of the society's two annual exhibitions, titled 'Un-tethered' and 'Wreckage'-Provided innovative advertising campaign responsible for record society membership-Sanctioned and developed society's first ever trip abroad to Paris, utilising the skills of committee members to ensure a great success-Oversaw subcommittee produced to design and instigate a collaborative competition with the Royal College of Art entitled 'ArtiFact, with an aim to forming stronger links between the universities. Competition has run excellently with great interest and even proposals for future funding by the RCA

-Asked to return to employment due to my performance in the previous summer-Worked as part of a research team performing environmental testing on prototype plastic optical fibres for use in aerospace applications-Independently ascertained the most effective testing techniques after an initial briefing, including checking performance of self manufactured components-Accumulated and graphically interpreted results to meet deadline for progress presentation to major airlines-Personally responsible for producing Power Point slides used in progress presentation

-Employed as part of research team to solve problem of power loss when connecting Photonic Crystal Fibres (PCF)-Independently designed and used an experimental set-up to prove a colleague’s theory that would provide a solution to the problem-Worked independently with a 8W Nd:YAG LASER and learned techniques in optical alignment and magnification-Collected and analysed self-gathered data, which was crucial in solving the underlying problem of PCF connections-The results of my work were presented at international Photonics Conference: ‘SPIE Photonics Europe '10, Brussels’.
