Mechanical Design EngineerB.Eng (Product Design) (Honours) Registered as a Mechanical Engineer on the National Engineering RegisterI am a Mechanical Design Engineer with a broad set of experience and skills across the entire process of product design from research & development to DFM of domestic and industrial products & bringing them to market, including skills in graphic design, packaging design, marketing, copy & web design. I currently work across a couple of roles, as Product Design Engineer at Cobalt Design (4 days/week) in North Melbourne and Senior Product Design Engineer at Zenaji & Involve Audio Pty Ltd group (1 day/week), developing specialized state-of-the-art audio technology & products and advanced home battery energy storage systems. I also currently teach a couple classes in Engineering as a Sessional Tutor at Swinburne University of technology.In my time as a Professional Engineer, I have been involved in the development of a number of technologies and subsequent patented products, with a focus on consumer and industrial electronics and battery systems. Working in a multi-disciplinary team with a strong electrical/electronics focus I have completed in-house projects requiring innovative R&D, taking products from initial research, to manufacture. I liaise directly with clients and manufacturers and broadly am self-managed for all tasks.My mains areas of expertise involve mechanical engineering and industrial design, particularly in injection moulded part design, sheet metal and metal extrusion part design, FEA analysis, systemic and human-centred design principles, anthropometric and ergonomic design & product visualisation. I have also had the opportunity to work outside of my field in the areas of electronics, business, marketing, graphic design and web development.In addition to my professional design and engineering skills I have a love of photography & music, currently singing with Chime Choir and playing in a range of bands.
