- Worked in a cross-functional environment to help migrate Squarespace's data processing and storage into GCP.- Maintained several on-premise Hadoop clusters which supported 150 TB of data and 275 users.- Deployed experimental Kafka clusters to GKE and on-prem k8s clusters using Strimzi.- Improved the reliability, visibility, and maintainability of our backup service that backed up our HDFS cluster into GCS.- Impact: Kept the data infrastructure stable enough to unblock other teams in their effort to migrate to the cloud. Cloud migration was successful, on-premise HDFS clusters were successfully decommed.

- Built a data pipeline with 2TB/day throughput that allowed the DIR team to get real-time insights into potential security threats.- Coordinated the security team's engineers in response to potential security incidents.- Identified and remediated abuse of Squarespace's platform multiple times on issues affecting tens of thousands of our customers.- Advocated for coordination across the various organizations (Engineering, Data, Security, Customer Support) at Squarespace, collaborating on shared problems.

- Proposed, designed, and implemented a phishing email filter for Squarespace's email campaigns service.- Trained a variety of machine learning models on our existing dataset, used simple NLP techniques to improve data quality.- Presented on my project at end of internship. Idea was picked up by the ML team and put into production.
