My role covered the design, prototyping and testing of cutting-edge optical architectures across a range of head-mounted, head-worn and heads-up displays in both defence and civil settings, in and out of the cockpit. Covering a range of optical design software packages and laboratory testing environments, I gained valuable core skills essential to those required of an optical engineer.

Notably, this involved creating solutions to upcoming problems by using my computer skills, reducing workload impact to minimise potential errors.
