• A Senior Analyst issue-spotting, researching and resolving ethics and risk management issues arising during and as a critical part of the business acceptance-vetting and approval process for Cooley LLP, a full-service law firm with roughly 1,500 attorneys and a wide-ranging practice.

• Performed complex due diligence research and data analysis – highlighting ethical and business-related conflicts issues – relative to prospective new business for both established and proposed clients of the Firm, a 2000+ attorney full-service law firm focused primarily on: Corporate (including private equity, financing, M&A, venture capital), Litigation/Restructuring and Intellectual Property (IP).

• Utilizing various resources and systems, analyzed, researched and resolved conflicts-of-interest issues – including those concerning proposed new business, marketing and internal firm anti-money laundering (AML) initiatives, and insider trading and securities compliance.

• Analyzed, researched and resolved ethics and conflicts-of-interest issues in the context of approving new business for a 600+ attorney law firm whose major practice groups include Corporate/Securities, Labor, IP, Entertainment, Finance and Litigation. • Drafted, revised and enforced conflict waiver and engagement letters in connection with new and existing matters.• Audited, summarized and archived Outside Counsel Guidelines with a focus on ethics- and conflicts-related provisions; information and records retention; and billing and cost requirements and compliance.

• Researched and analyzed conflicts-of-interest issues for a 55+ attorney Bay Area full-service (yet Real Estate-focused) firm, managing several aspects of firm business intake – submitting daily customized reports and findings, resultant of external and internal-database research, to Partners and Risk Management; assisted in resolving conflicts; audited and processed intake forms and information and once finalized, provided final signatory approval on conflicts.• Administered firm-wide Risk Management/New Business/Conflicts-of-Interest training.• As a secondary function or as needed, assisted with billing and accounting tasks, including financial/statistical report generation and credit analysis and approval.
