As Project Manger and Design Engineer, I have been involved in numerous and various phases of projects in the Transportation, Structural, and Civil Site disciplines. My role in these projects has varied but has included client meetings and development, project scoping, project budgeting, preliminary design, sub-consultant coordination, public information meetings, draft design reports, final design reports, utility and permitting agency coordination, ADP and PS&E preparation, bid openings and analysis, construction management, inspection, and final project closeout.Design responsibilities included, but were not limited to:• Development of highway typical sections, horizontal and vertical alignments, super-elevation diagrams, transitions, drainage, intersection and driveway design, guiderailing, signage, and pavement markings.• NYSDEC Stormwater permitting and SWPPP preparation for implementation on linear transportation projects along with phased construction sequencing and stream protection and sediment and erosion plans.• Detailing of bridge structural elements.• Work Zone Protection Plans.• Water and Sanitary Sewer system design in accordance with NYS Health Department and 10 State Standards.• Development of Design Approval documents in conformance with NYSDOT Local Administered Projects.• Estimating with NYSDOT Standard Specifications and AIA MasterSpec.
