Welcome to my LinkedIn profile. My career includes 12 years as a professional analyst in the oil, gas, and chemicals (OGC) market research and systems administration segments. I have over 10 years of experience covering OGC markets in positions with a high emphasis on research and data analysis. I have contributed to multiple publications for the OGC industry on subjects as diverse as natural gas development, syngas upgrading, steam cracking economics, biomass fuels, petrochemicals, and industrial facility construction. I have supported and project-managed various efforts, from research activities, data analysis, web-based and print periodical development and expansion, and business systems updates. After my first introduction to market research, I was impressed by the opportunity it brought to learn more. As I continued analyzing energy markets and building out databases of industrial facilities and projects, my experience expanded into supporting analytical processes, including data management, report preparation, and financial modeling. Along with improving efficiency through coding integration, delivering additional insight to clients-- truly showing them what they may not have seen before-- is compelling. I utilize a process flow problem-solving method and diagramming to deeply understand a subject. This approach allows me to uncover solutions, additional content, and greater insights. Utilizing structured methodologies for data management, like CRISP-DM, has been essential.Nothing is impossible. By addressing challenges head-on, you’re already on the right path. Scrutinizing tasks and processes often reveals additional value. Another key approach I’ve developed is seeking insight and inspiration from various sources. Teamwork and collaboration are vital—they facilitate project development, build crucial team rapport, provide tips for other projects, and offer continuous learning opportunities to expand industry and skillset knowledge.
