Directly managed 40 team members in reference data, settlement, and database administration, beginning in previous role (2001). 30 team members handled clearing integration of in-house and third party front/middle office systems, and continued development and integration of enterprise static data and global business intelligence reporting. Ten member database administrator team in US and London was responsible for: 400+ database servers globally (utilized SAP ASE, SAP Replication Server, SAP IQ Server, MS SQL Server, and Oracle) backup, recover, and failover of data operations. Evaluated and purchased database administration tools. Notable Contributions:• Created and implemented global SAP database replication system to deliver enterprise reference data to 15 globally dispersed trade processing engines, and global SAP database model and replication scheme to capture electronic trading activity for reporting, help desk resource, and data inquiry.• Partnered with head of US settlements to design and launch Sungard Phase 3 clearing integration feeds under eight week deadline.• Led team to design and deploy Phase 3 replicated data environment to facilitate global trade settlement monitoring and static and trade data reporting warehouse.• Designed and deployed global replication strategy for eSpeed core database infrastructure. • Directed teams through systems and processing recovery for core eSpeed businesses after 9/11 by building and reconfiguring all static, trade, and data messaging infrastructure. Restored U.S. Treasury electronic trading market within 48 hours.• Negotiated Sybase global site license terms to reduce support costs by $600K/year.• Led development and integration of enterprise static data for both customers and securities.
