A Hong Kong-based optical technology startup, dedicated to developing cutting-edge optical sensing readout systems for portable fluorescent diagnostic devices. We specialize in "point of care" diagnostics POCT that are portable, private, and easy to use. Our company partners with a research group from HKUST specialising in CRISPR based diagnostics to design health monitoring and disease detecion systems that provide fast and accurate results for STDs.We are a HK Science Park company under the Incutech Program. At Centauri Optics, we are always looking for new partnerships, funding opportunities, and collaborations to expand our reach in the biotech industry.

Our education branch produces the Miniscope, a portable and compact microscope that we designed and engineered in-house in Hong Kong. The Miniscope is aimed at amateur microscopists and schools, and is the most powerful and robust portable microscope of its size. We offer tailor-made courses to schools and also organize large-scale STEM events to encourage and inspire the next generation of scientists.

Conducted research in experimental semiconductor physics, specialising, in the photophysics of organic and hybrid perovskite semiconductors for photovoltaic and light emitting applications. My work focused on the ultrafast spectroscopy of new materials, and instrumentation. Aside the research work, I have given lectures, written teaching material, provided research mentorship at HKUST, as well as given talks and posters in international conferences.
