I earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology from the University of Kansas with an APA-Accredited Internship specializing in Behavioral Medicine at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. I joined the faculty of the Clinical Psychology Program, in the Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University in 2012 at the rank of Assistant Professor. After two years at OSU I accepted an invitation to rejoin the Clinical Child Psychology Program at the University of Kansas as faculty. I am active in the fields of pediatric psychology and health psychology serving on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and Clinical Practice in Pediatric Psychology, and American Psychologist. My research program is aimed at studying digital technologies to improve assessment and intervention. I think that smartphones and sensors have much to offer the science of behavior change and can be a driver of equity and improved quality of life. I have consulted for governmental agencies, fortune 500 companies, small startups, and major academic medical centers. I am always open to collaboration.
