I believe in engaging and empowering people to be their best selves. People will do their best if we give them the skills, knowledge and platform to do so and so this is what I strive to do in all areas of my work. I’m a passionate advocate for mental health, suicide prevention and the inclusion of the diverse voices of lived experience in design, development, implementation and review of programs. Through my experiences there is one thing that has always proven to be true: people won’t always remember what you say, but they’ll always remember how you made them feel. I do my best to lead each day with a “soft front and strong back” and to make space for authentic connection. There is true power in those moments of authentic connection to make a positive difference in someone’s day or, if you’re lucky, their life.
