Criminal defense includes representing clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses including but not limited to: driving while intoxicated, drug offenses, and violent felony offenses. Member of the Monroe County Assigned Counsel Program for misdemeanor and appellate cases. Appellate work comprises of writing and arguing several criminal appeals. Civil Litigation experience involving class action prosecution and defense, debt collection, landlord/tenant matters, personal injury, products liability. Monna Law also handles matters in the areas of estate Planning, small business / LLC, corporate transcations and real estate.

Assisted partners with various tasks, such as preparing client engagement letters, drafting retainer agreements and writing exit interviews. Additionally, prepared clients and staff for depositions, attended depositions, attended preliminary hearings, attended sentencing, filed motions both in person and online, participated in a number of investigations for different criminal matters, drafted inter-office memorandums pertaining to specific legal complexities in current cases.

Student Intern Under Honorable Ellen M. Yacknin:Plaintiffs filed a motion on submission. Notified counsel and litigants, by mail, of the statute which allows the Court to take appropriate action against the non-appearing parties interests. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, created correspondence for the Civil Calendar, monitoring legislation, conducting research, collecting, analyzing and interpreting data.Student Intern Under Honorable John E. Elliott:Internship within the treatment courts in Monroe County under the Honorable John E. Elliott. Daily duties include, but are not limited to: filing, pulling reports, and memos. Supplementary responsibilities include, calendaring, shredding, copying, faxing, and prioritizing work load.
