A professional and successful former Weapons Systems Operator (WSOp - aircrew) in the RAF operating onboard Chinook helicopters. After a short career break I have now begun an integrated air transport pilots licence (ATPL) training course at Leading Edge Aviation In March 2024.——————————————————————————————During my time as a WSOp I planned and executed many training exercises in the UK and overseas, deployed on multiple frontline operations and assisted with several National incidents on home soil.Leadership, teamwork, communication skills and a heightened situational awareness were some of the key skills required to be successful as aircrew onboard a battlefield helicopter. With these skills plus experience of CRM in a challenging environment I am hoping this will be of great use in transitioning into civilian aviation.I hold a UK CAA PPL and Night Rating and so have made the first steps on this challenging but rewarding journey into the flight deck of a commercial aircraft, this is to fulfil a lifelong goal of becoming an airline pilot.
