Total Project cost under contract is $119 million.The new emissions control system meets the new U.S. Environmental Protection Agency goals for SO2, NOx and mercury reductions which were scheduled to begin in 2009. Babcock Power’s Turbosorp® circulating dry scrubber, their world class selective catalytic converter technology and Hamon fabric filter technology will be used to meet the new emissions guidelines.
