About Christopher Dancy, M.Ed., Shrm-Cp

My specialities include a diverse and pertinent group of subjects that I’ve spent decades cultivating through scholarship and life experience. However, at the core of the skills that I offer, expression is my stock in trade._____________________In the decision Mayer v. Monroe County, Judge Sutton (U.S. Court of Appeals, 6th Circuit) said this about educators: “Expression is a teacher's stock in trade, the commodity s/he sells to her employer in exchange for a salary.” While this decision was one about free speech, it describes, in the simplest of terms, the uniqueness of the skills that I have honed during my career which are applicable to myriad professional ecosystems. The finer points of these skills are knowing exactly when, and how, to turn knowledge into action. This requires collaboration and organizational buy-in, as well as the nuanced understanding of when to be an educator, a learner, a colleague, a facilitator, a manager, or a leader. Perhaps more importantly, this skill requires the understanding of when and how to transition between these roles seamlessly and respectfully in order to facilitate forward momentum in a professional community within any employment sector. 📍 I’m always open to having a discussion about what I could bring to your organization. Let’s talk.

Listed skills include Teaching, Curriculum Development, Public Speaking, Classroom Management, and 7 others.
