A Digital Media investigators roles is a broad one with the need for a lot of knowledge across various topics. In this role I am a go to for advice and assistance with every digital aspect of a police investigation, from digital forensics to simply understanding how social media works. A big part of my role is translating the technical jargon into everyday speak which every one can understand. I point officers to the correct specialist in force, but take on particular technical roles myself.
