CLIENT SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE (WILLIAMS COMPANY) 2013 - 2014Purpose and Scope: Provide effective technical and organizational safety leadership overseeing the site safety program in support of the Williams Olefins Ethylene Expansion Project. Collaborated closely with plant management to maintain corporate safety policies, processes, and procedures, and to ensure a high level of employee and facility safety and wellbeing. -Monitored work permitting system to maintain the timeliness of all contractor submissions to meet work scheduling requirements. -Audited all Contractor Safety Program documents, and provided guidance and input on task-specific safety procedures. -Ensured that Contractor emergency medical and first aid procedures were in place and met requirements. -Performed informal walkdowns to evaluated work area personnel and to ensure a high level of safety awareness and execution for field practices that included excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, overhead loads, PPE, and housekeeping. Identified incidents of safety non-conformance and ensured that remedial actions were developed and promptly executed. -Remained an active and familiar voice through contractor manager safety meetings and weekly all hands meetings. Promoted safety incentive and recognition programs with employees and supervisors throughout the organization. -Closely assisted in all incident and near miss investigations. Analyzed issues to the root cause, and ensured that reports submitted from contractors are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.

I was responsible for the writing and submitting for approval the Site Safety Plans. I was also responsible for Safety Orientation Training, conducting weekly saftey meetings, safety audits, Accident/Incident Investigating and Reporting and Record-keeping. Also performed audits of Job Safety Analyses, Safety Observations, and administers first aid to employees when necessary.
