I'm a fulltime IT tech for Neches FCU. I've a bachelor's degree in physics and love the field emensely - unfortunately physics at the bachelor's level doesn't amount to all to much and I view it as a passion project or hobby over a career - for now.After obtaining my two year Associates degree for IT Networking & Troubleshooting - I found work nearly immediately. I took the job offer that payed the least, but granted me the most freedom and flexibility to focus on college & my education. This is a trend with me I'm more than willing to continue, low pay for freedom. My boss & employer are the only reason I was able to study and earn my physics degree - they will never know how much it has meant to me. If I am honest, i can see myself working in IT for many decades to come - however, I don't think I could live with myself if I didn't attempt to seriously follow what I feel as "my calling" in the form of Nuclear Physics or at the very least, change public opinion on that form of power production.If I am ever able to go back to college and successfully earn a masters degree for nuclear physics I will pursue a career full force. But for now I am dutifully working on my own projects and squirreling as much money away for the future as possible - I'll need it to fund my own way through higher education or invest in my pet projects.
