Mr. Ditton serves as the senior cartographer, task leader, and visualization specialist within the GIS/Database Group at URS in Salt Lake City. He has 12 years of experience in GIS task management, 3D Surface and subsurface visualization, GPS implementation, and data acquisition/conversion. Mr. Ditton has developed extensive experience with environmental mapping, GPS programming and operation, professional cartography, and automating data integration and map production. He also serves as the prime resource for compiling extensive geo-databases from available data sets within the United States, that serve as the base for all mapping projects within the URS Salt Lake City office. Other responsibilities include: geo-referencing images, developing numerous 3D images and animations, plume monitoring for environmental remediation of contaminated areas, CADD integration in the GIS environment, and assisting geologists and engineers in the field, performing site reconnaissance, as well as collecting and monitoring samples for analysis. Mr. Ditton has successfully helped to establish working relationships between IT personnel, engineers and managers through state-of-the-art GIS based mapping.
