The Honor Foundation (THF) is a career transition program for U.S. Special Operations Forces that effectively translates their elite military service to the private sector and helps create the next generation of corporate and community leaders. We provide a clear process for professional development and a diverse ecosystem of world class support and technology. Every step is dedicated to preparing these outstanding men and women to continue to realize their maximum potential during and after their service career. Led the modernization, expansion, and resourcing of three comprehensive programs focused on holistic wellness, professional development, and successful transition to civilian life. Created and implemented the first overarching initial operational budget of $150K, personnel manning structure, and command relationship hierarchy. Programs have flourished and continue to be an excellent return on investment resulting in the direct care and support of 500+ unit members over the past 18 months.

Hand selected to lead 20 instructors in the execution of a unique training course including the recruitment, assessment, specialized training, and final selection of personnel for a SOF organization tasked with missions against high-value targets. Developed and implemented 10 month / 2,492-hour Program of Instruction, $1M+ annual budget, resource scheduling and, exercise coordination / control with external partners.

Managed 25 government personnel and 12 civilian contractors for all facets of maintenance and operational readiness for unique and complex platforms. Maintained equipment valued $5.5M+ across multiple facilities and overseas locations. Trained 25 personnel as the Government Ground Flight Representative in Defense Contracting Management Agency ground operating procedures.

Managed two critical organization contracts and supervised 35 government contractors as the primary government liaison to C-suite administrator positions of the contractor. Developed annual: Performance Work Statement, Independent Government Cost Estimates, and Operating Budget. All services provided without delay and in accordance with contractual guidelines.

Coordinated 300+ personnel and 250+ movements deployed to various mission sites. Executed 200+ travel notifications, country clearance messages, and coordination cables ensuring missions were properly resourced and manned. Provided daily briefs, equipment forecasts, and partner liaising while maintaining communication and situational awareness of ongoing actions.

Executed operational requirements within Europe, Africa, South America, and the Middle East. to ensure all scheduled and unscheduled platform maintenance and operations were to appropriate regulations and organizational policies and procedures. Led various teams consisting of 3-6 subject matter experts in the completion of multiple heavy maintenance events, in which all were on schedule and within budget. Maintained accountability of aviation repair parts valued $2.8M.

Responsible for the daily operation of five distinct programs of instruction for the UH-60 Systems Academics Course. Charged with the training, development programs, and instructor records for eight Department of the Army Civilians. Accountable for the daily execution of operations for Aircraft Qualification Course, Flight School XXI, Instructor Pilot Course, Method of Instruction Course, and the UH-60 Refresher Course. Liable for training aids and equipment worth in excess of $3M.

Responsible for ensuring that all maintenance repairs were completed to manufactures specifications. Methods used consisted of a combination of detailed visual inspections, hand tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.,), and powered equipment (videoscope, avionics test kits, etc.,) to ensure tolerances were appropriate or rework was needed. Additionally, all repairs required specific technical write-ups and filing for proper reporting and accountability.

As I relocated from Hawaii to New York, I also transitioned to a new job as a 15T (Blackhawk Helicopter Repairer). As a team lead for maintenance operations, this position taught me the value of proper mentorship and the importance of precise communication. Proper mentorship ensured that our junior personnel received relevant and career-enhancing training. Precise communication ensured that the safety policies and procedures were understood by all; this was vital in an environment where a misstep could cost lives.

Beginning my Army career as an 11B Infantryman taught me the importance of discipline and attention to detail. As a corporal (first line supervisor) my commensurate duties consisted of taking care of my three person team; which meant ensuring our small team had all the appropriate resources (logistics) and information (briefs) needed to complete our task.
