About Christopher Dodds
I am a highly-motivated and experienced space systems engineer with 5 years of dedicated experience in Space engineering delivery. This has been in support of Space Domain Awareness, Ground Segment, and Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance projects within the Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S) Space Delivery Team. Alongside this, I have a further 2 years of nuclear engineering experience with the Submarine Delivery Agency. Through my work I have gained experience and developed invaluable skills and knowledge sought after within the Defence Space Sector. I have proven proficiency in analysis, problem-solving, team-working, leadership, communication, and wider programme management skills. Included in this are engineering risk management and technical decision-making skills, including Safety and Security risk. I have developed these skills through successful delivery of Space Delivery Team projects to the UK Space Command. I am an excellent communicator with an ability to simplify complex engineering concepts whilst adapting my communication style according to stakeholders (including cross government (UKSA), foreign partners (US, ESA), military commands (RAF and Space), and the industrial sector). This has ensured customer requirements are clearly captured, delivered, and challenged where necessary. I am always seeking to continue to develop the capabilities of myself, others, as well as the UK’s Space capability and Defence Space Sector as a whole. My qualifications and experience make me uniquely suited to fulfil the rapidly growing needs of the Defence and Space Sector for leading professional engineers.
