Dr. Christopher Dost is Associate Professor of Hebrew Bible and the Director of Online Programs at Alliance Theological Seminary. Dr. Dost earned his B.A. from Western Connecticut State University (Danbury, CT), where he studied jazz bass. He then earned a Master of Arts program in Old Testament at Alliance Theological Seminary and subsequently earned two additional master's degrees and a Ph.D. in Hebrew Bible at The Jewish Theological Seminary (New York). His research is focused on the transmission of the Hebrew Bible, and he is the author of The Sub-Loco Notes in the Former Prophets of Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (Gorgias, 2016), Jesus' Bible: A Concise History of the Hebrew Scriptures (KDP, 2018), and various Bible dictionary articles and book reviews. He is currently preparing two works for publication. The first is a new English translation of the Aramaic Bible that he and a small team of scholars are preparing for publication by Baylor University Press and Accordance Bible Software. The second, which should appear in print in late 2019, is A Brief Introduction to the Aramaic Targums (Gorgias Press).
