Most recently I had the honor to join Shermco Industries (Gryphon Portco), which is North Americas largest and fastest growing B2B electrical testing organization. I was drawn to Shermco because of its leadership team, long tenured blue-chip customers, culture, strong private equity backer and the highly fragmented growing market it serves. My team is responsible for all aspects of finance. I'm proud to lead an honest, hard-working team that is dedicated to driving profitable growth, managing a strong balance sheet and controlling net working capital. I'm excited to bring decades of finance and leadership experience to a new industry and serve a great team. Prior to Shermco, my colleagues and I completed an extremely successful exit with the sale of HEPACO (another Gryphon Portco) to CleanHabors(CLH; NYSE). Prior to that, I spent 17 years working with great team members to build industry leaders XPOLogistics (XPO: NYSE) and United Rentals Inc.(URI: NYSE) At XPO, I served as CFO for the $5B+ North American Transportation division within XPO Logistics (now traded as RXO on NYSE). My finance team supported 5 lines of business and 10 customer services spanning the US, Mexico and Canada with a workforce of over 7,000 in 176 locations. We built a results-oriented culture based on honesty, trust, effort, business partnership and a willingness to do what is right. Everything accomplished was due to strong partnerships with my finance team members, operations, sales, human resources, the executive leadership team and the board. I'm proud of the results which included, moving the company from significantly cash constrained to a position of appropriate liquidity by driving a 20% improvement in billed and unbilled DSO. We were able to use these funds to reinvest in ourselves and drive profitable through investment in high ROI assets, training and sales. We strengthened the control environment and balance sheet to avoid surprises resulting in exceeding top and bottom line expectations for 13 straight months through exit. We drove 22% y/y revenue growth and 60% y/y EBITDA growth by focusing on initiatives to drive price, volume and productivity. Importantly we also drove and supported a full exit process which was extremely successful.
