I have spent my whole life playing and following sports. Through this, I grew more and more intrigued by the analytics movement in sports, inspiring me to pursue a degree in data analytics.Through college, my courses have allowed me to gain a good understanding of Python and how to use libraries such as Pandas and MatPlotLib, as well as being able to build machine-learning models.I also have a small background in accounting. It is what I am minoring in currently and worked as an intern in the accounting department just before starting college, giving me a strong feel for what that process looks like for many smaller to midsize companies.Most of my work experience outside of that has been of the "summer job" variety, but I feel that those jobs have allowed me to sharpen my leadership, accountability, and interpersonal skills which would be very transferrable to my future employment opportunities.
