Led efforts to identify areas of cost saving opportunities in Production related to press room inefficiencies and managed circulation audit procedures related to annual audits conducted by Alliance for Audited Media (previously Audit Bureau of Circulations).Selected accomplishments:• Expanded scope of identifying press room inefficiencies by creating a dynamic model allowing Production to project impact to press times based on late starts, press speeds, plate changes and edition size, directly impacting ability to package and distribute papers by 3:00am deadline.• Created complete mock audit on free-standing insert distribution as preparation for annual audit, achieving 99.85% (96% passing) by collaborating with Production, Advertising and Distribution to conduct testing to identify and fix potential problem areas.• Investigated unwavering audit fees despite declining circulation over an 8-year period; presented analysis to Alliance for Audited Media and negotiated modified testing, decreasing audit time 50% and annual audit costs 26%.
