I worked on layout and design of mechanical systems, P&IDs, HVAC, structural detailing and machine design using Autocad 2010, Autodesk Inventor & Microstation. I traveled to customer's job sites to check existing conditions and research design integration. Most jobs were in heavy industry.

I was a primary designer for equipment used in switchgear manufacturing and testing. My duties included design of mechanics, pneumatics, sensor selection and control requirements of machinery. I was responsible for bills of material and purchasing. I also was responsible for writing operating and instruction manuals. Software used included Autocad.

I worked closely with process engineers, customers and other designers on the layout and design of water treatment equipment, piping and plant facilities. I also traveled to customer’s sites to supervise system installations and act as a liason between Trionetics and the customer.

I was chief designer on materials handling equipment for US Can Corp., Thomas Steel & Strip and several other smaller projects for a variety of manufacturing customers in NE Ohio and Western PA. My duties included design of mechanics, pneumatics, sensor inputs and control requirements of machinery.

I was responsible for the design and construction of production equipment used at Delphi Electric. I worked directly for design and production engineers at Delphi with little direct supervision from Astro Technical. I also worked closely with machinists and assemblers. I worked part time as a technical writer, developing machine operation and maintenance.

I performed board and CAD detailing for a manufacturer of turf farm equipment.
