Air Quality Compliance Supervisor
CurrentCoordinator of the employee training program for the Compliance and Enforcement Division of the Department. Develop and provide competency timelines and training modules to provide initial training for new inspectors as well as ongoing development of all Compliance staff. Provide a holistic framework for both OnBoarding training as well as ongoing career development for members of the Division. Present training modules to audiences varying between small groups (2-10 people) and large audiences (70+). Provide field based training to members of both the Division and larger Department.Assist Division and Department Management in hiring of new employees. Assess candidates and take a leading role in the hiring process for a number of positions within the Division. Act as the initial contact that many new employees have with the Department. Provide initial OnBoarding and Performance Management supervision and development for new members of the Division.Collaborate with a Senior Inspector to assess knowledge and skill deficiencies within the Division and create new learning opportunities. Act as a subject matter expert and point of knowledge for all members of the Division.Act as the day to day supervisor of inspectors during the yearlong initial training phase. Review inspection reports, complaint reports, and daily activities to ensure that employees are maintaining Departmental expectations and standards. Additionally, work to facilitate goal development and action plans for employees. Consult and assist in Department wide projects including development of new programs, plans, and protocols to ensure delivery of Department Strategic Plan outputs and outcomes.
