All-Hazard Incident Management Teams (AHIMT) play an essential role in the management of, and response to, local/regional/national emergencies, natural disasters and public events. The AHIMT is a comprehensive resource to either enhance ongoing operations through provision of infrastructure support, or when requested, transition to an incident management function to include all components/functions of a Command and General Staff. Collectively the Auxiliary contributes over 4.5 million hours of service each year, completed 500,000 missions to support the Coast Guard, save 500 lives, assist 15,000 distressed boaters, conduct over 150,000 safety examinations of recreational vessels, and provide boater safety instruction to over 500,000 students. In total the Coast Guard Auxiliary saves taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars each year.

Assessed, updated, and submitted pre-existing county-wide emergency response plans to the State of Texas prior to stated timelines. All plans sent to the State were approved by the State on the first submission. Created Active Shooter plan after liaising with stakeholder agencies and discussing best practices from historical responses, as well as their current SOPs. This plan was also approved by State on first submission. Supported and participated in Terrorism Tabletop exercise. Served as the Houston Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) planning coordinator for Galveston County, assisting in the committee and workgroups in plans, concepts and strategies for responding to incidents within the region. Assessed the needs for a Galveston County maintained regional Command Van, specified the vehicle and hardware required, and wrote the grant for same. Assisted with the Ice Storm and hurricanes that hit Galveston County, as well as acting as Supply Officer for the COVID 19 response, supporting the Galveston County Health District

Provided pre-hospital care of the sick and injured within the five boroughs of New York City via ground and helicopter ambulance as necessary. Served on statistically busiest ambulance in the N.Y. City 911 system, while assigned to Bedford Stuyvessant, Brooklyn. Tested and recommended equipment and vehicles for purchase as User Committee representative. Was selected as charter member of the Special Operations Division’s (SOD) Hazardous Incident Tactical Patrol Unit (HAZTAC). SOD responded to all hazardous materials, multi-alarm fire, technical rescue, and mass casualty incidents and were well versed in all aspects of the incident command system. SOD was also responsible for the response preplanning for all high visibility or high occupancy venues and events throughout the city. Attended entire N.Y.P.D. Emergency Services Unit (ESU) class, including SWAT and technical rescue curriculum. Received service recognition including the Medal of Honor, Excellent Duty Medal, multiple Commendations of Merit, as well as Pre-Hospital Save Awards.
