The course covers the long-term relationship between Canada's real estate industry and the broader economy and market cycles, changes in tenants needs in the retail, industrial and office sectors and how the industry has been shaped by the gradual evolution of technology, society and government policy -- as much can be squeezed into 12 classes.

I led the creation of the land development strategy for the 140 acres of York University-owned lands outside of the 'academic core' of its main campus in northwestern Toronto. Ultimately, the City did adopt many of our recommendations, and over the following years, a large number of poor quality lodging homes were demolished to make way for low-rise and mid-rise apartments that serve the student market.
