Ft Hood, Tx / Afghanistan

Coordinated and conducted maintenance test flights, directed helicopter maintenance operations, and served as Pilot in Command while participating in reconnaissance and security missions. Supervised the maintenance, airworthiness, and safe employment of all assigned AH-64D attack helicopters valued at $240 million as the Company Maintenance Officer. Managed and maintained all assigned AH-64D aircraft during combat operations with limited personnel, under high operational requirements, and adverse weather conditions. Exceeded the US Army’s standard for Operational Readiness while maintaining 100% aircraft availability for each mission assigned throughout a one-year deployment.Piloted and commanded the AH-64D Apache helicopter under tactical, non-tactical conditions and all types of extreme meteorological conditions during day, night, IFR and while using night vision devices. Accumulated over 300 hours of combat flight experience, maintenance test flights, and training over high altitude, mountainous, high dust environments while forward deployed to Afghanistan. Trained, supervised and managed 18 AH-64D maintenance personnel and mentored 14 rotary wing aviators. Additionally ensured the highest quality maintenance performed as a qualified aircraft Technical Inspector (T.I.).

Responsible for the proper sequencing of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to ensure the operational readiness of all the assigned AH-64D Apaches worth in excess of $200 million dollars.Continuously performed fault-identification, isolation, corrective action, Maintenance Operational Checks and post maintenance test flights while in combat which allowed the Unit to fly over 5,000 combat hours in a 12 month time period.Trained, supervised and managed all assigned AH-64D maintenance personnel. Additionally, ensured the highest quality maintenance performed as a qualified aircraft Technical Inspector (T.I.).Successfully graduated the US Army AH-64D Apache Maintenance Test Pilot Course.

Served as an AH-64D Apache pilot while deployed to Iraq accumulating over 600 hours of combat flight time experience while earning multiple US Army Air Medals.Served as the Battalion Environmental Compliance Officer and Battalion Hazardous Cargo Officer responsible for shipping all hazardous equipment to and from Iraq.
