Maintained an active, MSHA legal underground mine rescue team serving mines in the Western US. Administered mine rescue agreements and ensured team compliance with MSHA standards. As president of the organization, managed the daily activities of a self-supporting, non-profit organization. Team Captain for the recovery effort at the Revenue Mine disaster Ouray, CO., provided safe access and support for Federal investigators.

CAE Consulting specializes in providing MSHA safety training and MSHA compliance assistance to clients across the United States. In addition to safety services, CAE Consulting offers mine consulting services focused on underground mine ventilation.

Managed and provided mine consulting services for a variety of engineering projects and studies in this large, international, engineering consulting firm. As project manager, served as client contact and directed consulting effort from the proposal phase through final delivery. Directed project work consisting of mineral project evaluations ranging in depth from conceptual to detailed design, due diligence investigations, and focused primarily on underground ventilation survey and design. Worked on a diverse range of studies including precious and base metals as well a surface and underground mining techniques.

Served as project engineer for a small mine services contractor. Worked on a variety of projects such as pre-production mine development, mine closure, and environmental restoration projects. As project engineer, led work crews in daily activities, enforced health and safety policies, reported directly to the project manager, and generated daily reports.

Managed the daily operation of the Gold Hill Mill, a 50 ton per day precious metals concentrator. Member of the site management team that developed an underground, narrow vein gold deposit from exploration phase to production status. Direct supervisor for two mill crews, responsible for training, scheduling, and management of all mill operations. Successful implementation of sand fill program for process tailings. Winner of the MSHA Sentinels of Safety award three years in a row.
