I have spent my entire career working in information technology with more than 20 years of that focused on cyber-security. I have a very broad range of experience and enjoy working both as a manger of skilled professionals and hands on as an engineer. Over the course of my career, I've had exposure to just about every aspect of cyber-security and worked with a wide variety of tools, technologies and vendors.I am currently employed as a Senior Information Security Consultant at First Information Technology Services, a talented and growing cybersecurity and consulting agency that helps clients meet complicated security and compliance requirements with a particular focus on the federal governments FedRAMP program. I act as a team lead on one of FITS audit and advisory teams performing consulting engagements for technology companies that need assistance in bolstering the security posture of their product offerings and preparing for rigorous compliance audits. Prior to my work at FITS I held a leadership role in information security at several other technology companies, including serving 18 years in charge of Security and IT Operations at an SaaS vendor serving Fortune 1000 clients. In that capacity I kept highly visible public facing web applications for many of the nations largest brands running smoothly and securely. I am proud of my accomplishments in Information Technology and Cyber-Security and enjoy the challenges of this type of work and the many talented and interesting professionals I've had the opportunity to collaborate with. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the Outdoors, as well as playing and designing computer and board games. I am a husband and the proud father of a special needs child who is the light of my life.
