I am an experienced property developer with strong technical skills in engineering, development, and finance. My career to date has been characterised by tenacious problem-solving skills, building and maintaining strong relationships, an appetite for learning, and the ability to apply lessons from education and experience to a diverse range of scenarios and roles.Starting as a civil engineer, I have since expended into roles which span the property lifecycle and have developed skills and a keen interest in development, asset management and real estate investment. My experience in development and engineering roles together with my robust technical knowledge in finance gives me a clear point of difference to many other professionals.Most recently as a Senior Development Manager at Mirvac, I have led a team responsible for masterplanning a major development in southwest Sydney as well as devising and executing the strategy to successfully deliver that project. I am a good leader and collaborator, and manage teams and consultants effectively to foster the propagation of ideas and strategies while also ensuring information required to make decisions is received in time and is of the required quality.Recent highlights include: - Graduated with several academic awards and a high distinction average in the Master of Applied Finance program while working full time. - Devised the successful delivery strategy for a 900 lot community including open space networks, a permanent water body, a retail town centre, community facility, and public school. - Negotiated and secured site wide approvals for major infrastructure to facilitate successful project rollout. - To date 120 lots have been registered, with the next stage set to commence construction shortly. - Led a team overseeing the preparation of a sales and marketing strategy for the project which saw a successful launch into a subdued market. - Managed capital approvals for the project including presentations to investment committee - Successfully managed stakeholder relationships - Negotiated a mutually beneficial land swap with a private school - Negotiated disposal of a residue lot to a neighbouring resident - negotiated agreement of an interface works deed with a neighbouring developer to unlock development access and servicing.
