Over the last 28 years, I have been the CEO of a charity that supports people with learning disabilities and autistic people. My primary role is developing housing and bespoke support services to prevent people with complex needs from entering institutional care. During the first few years of establishing the Charity, it became evident that access to appropriate housing was a huge barrier. So, in 2005, I created a community housing company, "Find Me a Home," to deliver the accommodation required. From 2012 to 2018, I innovated and developed a wearable mobile phone device to give vulnerable people greater independence outside the home. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jan/10/ces-2014-tracking-device-children-wristband-monitorsI also am a consultant developing specialist housing and support services for Local Authorities and support organisations.
