Currently working as a Senior Systems Engineer and as the Assistant Engineering Manager for the Space Awareness Project Office (SAPO) within the Wide Area Space Surveillance Special Project Office (WASS SPO) as an Industry Partner to defence through the Integrated Work Package Program. I have a wide range of responsibilities including ensuring the assurance and governance of design work being undertaken by SAPO, in line with the Mandatory Technical requirements as set out in the WASS SPO engineering management plan, responsible for scoping and ensuring the development of technical and Engineering management documentation for the JP9360 project and assist in the management and coordination of a team of 6 engineers of various experience levels, in the execution of engineering arefacts to support the project following Agile principles.

Commencing as a project coordinator working with a project manager, I now have oversight and management of a team of project coordinators working on variety of projects. Which has included:The management and coordination of effort of a team of engineers working on a variety of projects dealing with the development of new systems for the Collins class submarine in the communications and combat system area. Including reporting progress to senior management using EVM and established project procedures.Working with Commonwealth of Australia's project personnel in developing the necessary elements to meet second pass CoA government approval, including the assisting in the development of Integration Project Team Plans, gathering of tender quality estimates and determining schedules and evaluating the cost and impacts to the Collins Class. Including assisting in the development of Integration Project Team Plans, gathering of tender quality estimates, development of business cases, determining schedules and evaluating the impacts to the Collins Class.Liaising with a variety of engineering groups including design and development engineers in the Mechanical, Structural, Electrical and Communications fields, as well as with support groups and liasing with primary and secondary sub-contractors as well as with CoA principle OEM.

From September 1997 to March 2006 worked for the Institute for Telecommunications Research (ITR) a division of the University of South Australia. As a Project Manager at ITR I undertook several responsibilities including that of Deputy Chief Fire Warden and the non-ionisation radiation (EMR) safety officer. During my time at ITR I have undertaken a variety of functions on several projects. Including the development of Satellite Tracking Faciltiies and the development of several Satellite Demodulators.
