Chris Facey is an international teacher trainer, literacy and math specialist, technological innovator, and social entrepreneur. He has 18 years experience in adult development and over 11 years in the classroom as a non-fiction instructional coach and 8th grade Reading/History teacher with the Dept. of Ed. in Greater Los Angeles to high stakes charter with KIPP in New York. Chris was a finalist for the NY Dept. of Ed's Teacher of the Year Award in 2013, began presenting regionally and nationally on best practices in literacy instruction/curriculum development, and is now CEO of the ITAV Group Llc education group. In addition to education, Chris is currently the Co-CEO of a tech startup that is developing a social networking platform for iPhone/Android and an education based software.
