Project Coordinator
CurrentI have managed over 300 young people across London and the UK, and coordinated over 30 projects over this last year. My role as an Project CoOrdinator is to support, develop and produce effective media campaigns with youth people, aged 16-25 years old in fixing, changing or creating awareness about an issue or topic they feel strongly about. This involves managing groups or individual young people, working towards and overseeing budgets, planning and organizing projects with internal and external bodies, securing venues and collaborating with established organizations. This requires my work to concise, creative, organized and to a very high standard. This role required me to work at home as a lone worker, while travelling across London to meet my projects, so I had to maintain strong and effective communications with the directors, administration and creative resources team at the office. Working as a team was essential in order for the success of each project. My role is to develop the young people’s issue/topics from an idea to a physical action, and to identify the best way to tackle their ‘Fix’. We do this through a variety of medias and in my time I have produces several short films, documentaries, adverts, websites, sponsored events, events, theatrical dramas, websites, flash mobs, protests and have been part of a huge production at the ITV London studio’s. All the projects are featured on our website and on the ITV News where selected project will get broadcasted to the ITV Region, in my case London.
