Hi there, I’m Chris and I’ve been in full time employment since I left school at the age of 17, so going on 13 years. I started in retail working for Tesco mobile, selling mobile phones and broadband packages. I then climbed the ladder of retail progressing through to supervisor and I supervised in several departments. My strength was in customer service and because of this I started in customer services and checkouts before moving to stock control to gain a better understanding of the “behind the scenes” departments, those that keep a store ticking over. In 2015 I moved to NHS Grampian where I took on the roll of recruitment and training for Domestic staff in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Grampians largest hospital. I was there for 2 years before moving onto clinical auditing, checking for infection risks and environmental issues. I did this for a further two years before moving on to my current role as a Health and Safety trainer where I, along with my colleague, train thousands of Facilities staff annually. I am currently also studying business management at Robert Gordon’s University and have just completed my second of four years.
