The West Coast Hospitality Association (WCHA) is a membership-led organization which has been running since 2014 and consists of ~50 of the main resorts, restaurants, and businesses in Tofino and Ucluelet who account for over $300M in annual tourism revenue. Relocated to Squamish. - Led the creation of a community stakeholder round table for key representatives from the government, the WCHA, and Indigenous communities to overcome a dispute regarding expiring MRDT funds and an $82M wastewater treatment project. - Partnered closely with Tourism Tofino, the Chamber of Commerce, and local businesses to enrich the quality of life for the local community. - Incorporated the business in October 2021 and established its legal right to represent its members.

Tofino, British Columbia, Canada

Tofino Resort + Marina has 63 Guest Rooms, 58 Marina Slips, Marine Adventure Tour Operations, and a 320+ Seat Restaurant and Bar with annual revenues exceeding $10M. Relocated to Squamish. - Directed, executed, and oversaw the organization's strategy, business plan, and policies for 150 staff and managed 8 direct reports. - Grew resort operations, doubled profitability for 2020 and grew the leadership team by 25% in 2021.- Doubled the resort’s retail space and increased 2019 sales by 300% in 2 years. - Led the smooth transition from QuickBooks to M3, enabling the team to reduce operating expenses and increase profits. - Managed 8-figure financial statements on the company’s past performance and future growth.- Purchased new staff accommodations and led the development of a strategic plan to develop 50% of the property – a 2-year plan and a $15M budget.- Organized and convened shareholder meetings and managed communication between the shareholders and operators.- Represented the brand and property to the public at events and worked with local community representatives on aligned initiatives.

Canmore, Alberta, Canada

- Oversaw day-to-day operations for over 200 employees across both locations with annual revenues exceeding $10M/year. - Optimized resort revenue and operating expenses and introduced new revenue streams to increase net operating income. - Developed capital re-investment strategies spanning restaurant, retail, spa, and convention space to increase revenue and profit per square foot. - Managed the development of a new restaurant construction project with a $2M budget. - Identified talent and recruited ~150 new team members to manage guest operations. - Partnered closely with the owner to lead a $50M capital reinvestment for both sites. - Helped lead the project management and construction of 20 new accommodations on the property which would enable upwards of $1.8M+ in net-new revenue.

- Created and directed revenue growth strategies through analysis and streamlining operational practice and helped grow food and beverage revenue by $10M. - Partnered with the Director of Finance and helped lead the integration of a new purchasing system, which reduced excess inventory and costs by 2.5%. - Taught over 60 team members how to upsell and improve guest experiences. - Completed financial analysis and procedural review to improve the accuracy of reporting.
