In addition to my roles, I am a proud co-founder of The Barber & Beauty Foundation Inc. (BBF), a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of beauty and barber professionals. This venture is a testament to my commitment to nurturing talent and ensuring individuals in our industry reach their utmost potential.My professional path is rooted in a solid educational background with a B.A. in History/Secondary Education from Adelphi University, enriched by further studies in Secondary Education and Business at Wagner College. This blend of knowledge and a fervent passion for my craft led me to significant roles, including that of Vice President and Master Barber at Upscale Inc. D/B/A Upscale Haircutters, where I have been delivering premier barber services and overseeing operations since 1994.Under my stewardship, the Barber & Beauty Institute of New York has seen remarkable growth, enhancing its curriculum, boosting student enrollment, and expanding program offerings. My commitment to setting benchmarks in education is highlighted by my development and implementation of a state-endorsed Infection Control course and my role as a subject matter expert for the National Accrediting Commission of Cosmetology Arts & Sciences (NACCAS).Holding multiple New York State licenses, including as a Private Career School Director, Teacher, and Master Barber, I exemplify dedication to maintaining the highest industry standards.My mission extends beyond professional achievements; I aim to inspire, educate, and set a precedent, creating an environment that nurtures creativity, skill, and determination.
