Selected to be a teacher assistant for engineering python and physics laboratory courses at Texas A&M University. Guided students to master coursework through organized tutoring sessions. Improved student to teacher communication by administering end of course evaluations.

Developed soft sensor models for the extrusion process with 95% accuracy, which are being tested across all manufacturing sites in North America. These automated sensors model variables pertaining to extruder system parameters and product attributes. Performed robust statistical analysis to create regression models using data collected for 15 independent and dependent variables. Ensured validity of models using k-fold cross validations and extrusion process understanding. Developed a determinant optimized design of experiment to efficiently use pilot plant trials and data collected. Independent variables and setpoints tested in this design were chosen from an analysis of energy balances, mass balances, and fundamental engineering principles.

Managed the execution a flow meter installation project across alkoxylation reactors, resulting in a savings of $800,000 per year from off-spec batch reworks. Wrote a detailed scope of work document presenting all necessary work for this project and included updated P&IDs, line lists, instrument lists, pipe specification sheets and other relevant documents. Led an alarm management initiative across the site by collaborating with controls and production engineers. Utilized PowerBI and Trendminer for data analysis and root cause problem solving for alarm reprogramming. These changes were effectively implemented into the site's DCS. This project improved alarm effectiveness and lowered the alarm rates for operators.Initiated the fabrication and implementation of hose nozzles into truck discharge hoses in order to prevent spills and facilitate product discharge procedures for operators.Updated site P&IDs for the plants nitrogen systems. Gained valuable knowledge on chemical process design and instrumentation applications.
