Logistics Manager
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Area
I was assigned to The Boeing Company as part of the United States Air Force’s Education with Industry program. I was the only individual from the Logistics Career Field selected to participate in the program for the 2018-2019 class. I have been assigned to the Quality Assurance section within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security function within The Boeing Company. I was a part of the Quality Compliance section working in Supplier Quality, Receiving Quality and developing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for the Oklahoma City site. I set up a Quality objective for the site’s overall strategic plan and established metrics to measure this goal. I worked to establish The Boeing Company’s Quality Management System for Oklahoma City. The QMS is a set of interrelated and interactive requirements that lead to the establishment of company policy objectives, documented processes, and metrics to achieve customer satisfaction and profitable business performance. The QMS must also be in compliance with The International Organization of Standards (ISO) 9001, AS9100, AS9110, or AS9120. I established current metrics and mapped processes using a SIPOC (suppliers, inputs, process, outputs, and customers) for each of the processes at the site. I established current gaps, potential countermeasures and solutions to improve the overall QMS. I worked with process owners to developed metrics and Key Performance Indicators that were used across the site. I communicated and represented the section and briefed site leadership on the health of the organization, the status of company policy objectives, and that all documented processes and metrics were aligned with the vision of the Senior Site Executive and executive leadership team. I work with a cross functional team to establish standardization, administration and requirements for over 100 labs that are part of the Oklahoma City site.
