Leading our team of engineers, technicians, and electricians in support of production, process improvement, testing, and maintenance across the campus.Primary duties include:• Identify and develop project management methodology, best practices and standards• Develop project policies, procedures, templates and other shared documentation• Conduct projects audit and monitor compliance with standards, policies and procedures • Manage shared resources across all projects • Coordinate communication across projects • Coach, mentor and train VDSC personnel on project management • Project Manager for all major capital projects• Perform other Engineering duties as required

A member of a strong, professional, project oriented engineering team who is dedicated to continuous improvement throughout the production facilities. I commit to a daily focus on the ease of manufacturing and finding new, value added processes to test and implement. Plant layout and design is my primary function which exposes me to process flow, equipment design, piping, electrical, HVAC, and automation. The project driven environment allows me to hone my project management skills and grow in my ability to set and meet goals in a timely fashion.

Lead a design team of mechanical engineers and shop technicians to design, develop, and implement new company product lines. Lead and follow a thorough design process including conceptual studies, allocation of resources, tracking of projects, creation of Gantt charts and reports, design reviews, design risk assessments, Safety audits, cost estimating, fixturing design, building of bill of materials to drive an MRP system, conduct first piece inspections, and producing deliverables for sales and marketing. Lead continuous improvement efforts for all the standard product lines. Lead the patent process, including patent search, and develop detail for applications. Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the engineering department. Provide support for manufacturing processes and procedures.

Correspond directly with customer’s engineering departments; gather cylinder application information, calculate forces, stresses, tensions, and loads to then design products using specifications from our raw material and seal suppliers while also incorporating company standards. Provide engineering support to customers who request it for application engineering. Set the Engineering Schedule after consulting with the Sales and Manufacturing Departments. Distribute workload to drafters and conducted all training involved in the management of drawing files, geometrical tolerance, standards program, and manufacturing business program. Document and or record all ECO’s including implementation of a paperless ECO system. Maintain an Item Master, all cylinder BOM’s, a complete customer list, lisp routines, blocks and customized menus for usage in AutoCAD. Design and implement new processes within the Engineering Department that aid the entire plant using JIT and lean manufacturing processes and methodology. Create programs and macros for the entire plant using Microsoft® Office products including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and Visual Basic. Assisted the Information Technologies Department as to general office PC issues.
