During my time in this position, I focused on building the IT organization from the ground up. Creating the foundation for infrastructure and operations, business applications, cyber security, development operations, and product IT was my primary focus. During this time we rebranded and even expanded into a newly constructed office space roughly 3 times the size of our original office. I had the opportunity of leading the facility expansion which came to a close about 8 months after our rebranding. After moving into our new home, we continued to transform the products we built and how we solved problems. This impacted every single one of our critical business processes and I had the opportunity to work with everyone in the organization to help transform those as well.

As the manager of order fulfillment and customer service, I took great pride in owning the order-to-ship process for our life-saving customers. Being a part of the supply chain that makes an organ transplant happen is something very special, and the demands of that supply chain often make itself apparent. In this incredibly fast paced environment, coordination and detail were of utmost importance. This position offered the opportunity to drive automation and efficiencies that helped ensure availability for our customers. The automation and efficiencies extended upstream and even downstream as we transformed not only the practice of organ transplants, but some of the logistics, too.

During the course of the year that I held this position, I worked heavily on architecting a more scalable approach for the entire organization to tackle business process management. This had to be done while an existing business process workflow tool was already in place, which made change and user adoption challenging. As I phased out of this role and into a new role, I left the organization with a fully documented environment, a scalable architecture, and strong business cases for improvement. Less than three months after my transfer into a new role at Analogic, those business cases were implemented, with the overwhelming support of the business leadership. The success at this position and even in my more recent position has been very much a direct result of the support provided by business leaders and direct management.
