Head of the Gold Star Federation ie I lead both schools - 1500 amazing children and 300 fantastic, "make a difference"​ staff. My brilliant staff and I have developed "I Shine Learning"​. In 2021 we relaunched learning with the name "Positive Learning Power". I describe it as an "enhanced"​ primary school and enables us to take learning for 2 - 11 year olds even further. The Orion has our own very special learning spaces - these include a theatre, dance studio, recording studio, floodlit sports areas We call it the Gold Star Centre and share it with Goldbeaters. I love creating unique learning opportunities for the children and families of Grahame Park and Burnt Oak. Our favourite ones are the Word Up, Literacy Festival and GO FEST.In 2017 we reached a total of 5 Outstanding grades across both schools including one for the Federation itself. What an achievement! Big thanks to the amazing bunch of people who help me make it all work - well a very large wonderful family!!2018 - I was lucky enough to be nominated for Head Teacher of the Year. In a truly amazing week of October I won the national award!! Thanks to everyone in our community.One of our greatest successes was to set up a charity to help the community. It is called the Bright Yellow Thinking Project. During the pandemic we launched a TV channel on youtube for the kids and made 100 programmes for our community. I also love time with my own family, lots of music especially the Divine Comedy, being outside in the garden or allotment, Norfolk and coffee. I am very proud of my amazing wife and the part she plays in making very challenged young lives better. I have 3 wonderful children who play their part in creating a better more positive world.

A fantastic and fun time - the school was in such a mess and doomed to fail. However within 5 months we got it through the lovely OFSTED. It then took off and I handed over to Duncan Mills a leader who had been with me at St. Paul's. Glad to hear it is a great school - still. I was kind of poached for the new school being born out of the Grahame Park School closures - yes I was dreaming up a new idea - out of this world ORION!! If you were on the Holy Trinity team in '99 hey thanks - great days.

I was a bit young to be Headteacher - only 27. However through enthusiasm and hard work we made a special learning environment. I still have the photo of that open air concert we did and I decided to appear on the roof dressed as Clint Eastwood. Anything for the children...
