My main tasks as a S.P.A. are as follows:-Working with Owner to identify the program for a specific project.-Perform site verification to review defined program against actual conditions.-Review project to assure that all accessibility requirements are met.-Design project documents to fulfill Owner's requirements for project.-Coordinate scope and design with project consultants.-Submit project to necessary agency, Division of the State Architect(DSA) for review. This includes obtaining DSA approval of project. -Providing services for bidding the project with prospective Contractors. Assembling and issuing addenda as needed.-Providing Construction Administration services. This includes site visits, reviewing submittals, answering Requests for Information(RFI's), maintaining meeting minutes.-Perform Project Closeout responsibilities including successfully obtain a DSA Close with Certification letter on every project and creating Record Drawings for Owner.The main types of projects that I am in charge of include full-campus school modernizations, HVAC upgrades, toilet room accessibility upgrades, site design packages, and several smaller but important structures that serve specific needs to the site. I am also responsible for maintaining all of the specification sections for a local District. This requires constant interaction with both the Owner and Manufacturers to make sure that the specifications used for all District projects are up to date. Show less

As a Drafter, I was resopnsible for creating the base drawings, addressing redlines, assiting the Architect in obtaining plan agency approval.
