Develop and implement updated aviation safety policy for the United States Marine Corps. Serve as the subject matter expert for aviation safety and Naval Air Training and Operating Procedures Standardization (NATOPS) programs during Inspector General of the Marine Corps command inspections.

Coordinated internal and external actions required to execute U.S. Marine Corps Force Design activities, including identification of topics for study, solicitation of external subject matter experts and stakeholders for event participation, and scheduling of venues and supporting equipment for events with up to 300 personnel.

Responsible for coordinating personnel assignment and management staff actions for seven squadrons totaling over 4,000 personnel to ensure all squadrons were properly staffed for unit deployments and daily operations.

Led the actions of a 300-Marine maintenance department in the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of 32 aircraft to meet daily flight schedule requirements while operating in accordance with Naval Aviation Maintenance Program standards and safety requirements. During this year, the squadron achieved its highest combined AH-1Z and UH-1Y aircraft availability rate in over three years.

Planned bi-lateral military exercises with partner nations and coordinated with subordinate commands for the execution of those exercises. Planned the rotation/retrograde of 2,500 personnel from seven Middle Eastern countries back to the United States.

Responsible for reserving all airspace associated with exercises involving up to 32 aircraft, evaluating air-ground integration during mission execution, and ensuring risk management in planning and execution.

Developed and executed test plans for new weapons, systems, and software for AH-1W, AH-1Z, and UH-1Y aircraft prior to Department of Defense acceptance and fielding. Assisted with the design of aircraft software to reduce aircrew workload and improve aircraft and aircrew mission effectiveness. Served as the Lead Test Director for H-1 System Configuration Set 7.1, conducting 79 sorties in 51 days, leading to the integration of four major aircraft software enhancements including Ground Proximity Warning System, aircraft sensor line of sight in aircrew helmet mounted displays, improved sensor cuing and moving map display integration, improved targeting interface, and the integration of a new weapon system on the AH-1Z helicopter.

Developed monthly aircrew training plans and weekly flight schedules, scheduled ordnance support and live-fire ranges to facilitate aircrew training progression. Provided legal guidance to the squadron commander, squadron personnel, and prepared legal paperwork associated with non-judicial punishment, courts-martial, and administrative separations of squadron personnel. Instructed aircrews in all missions assigned to AH-1W helicopter crews under all conditions.
