In my role as a Research Assistant II at UConn Health, I leverage my extensive expertise in molecular and cellular biology to drive innovative solutions for children's health. With over seven years of experience in translational research within pediatric urology, eosinophilic esophagitis, and pediatric brain tumors, I'm committed to making a meaningful impact.Within the Rowe laboratory, my focus centers on three key areas: enhancing urethral healing, pioneering novel strategies for postoperative pain management, and pushing the boundaries of 3D bioprinting for urologic tissue replacement using stem cells. I'm deeply passionate about spearheading cutting-edge technologies that have the potential to revolutionize healthcare and elevate the quality of life for pediatric patients.In addition to my technical and managerial skills, I am deeply involved in the academic and professional development of research fellows and students. I instruct, assist, and supervise them through various stages of their research projects. This includes providing guidance on research methodologies, offering constructive feedback, and fostering an environment that encourages critical thinking and innovation. My goal is to help them develop the skills and confidence needed to become independent researchers and professionals.Beyond the confines of the laboratory, I relish my time in the great outdoors, often accompanied by my spirited Australian shepherd.
